Electronics Rework Technician | Hardware Diagnostics | UAV Operations
Focused on component-level diagnostics and manual PCB rework. Specialized in precision soldering, SMD component replacement, and hardware recovery workflows.
FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot with experience in flight stability logging and systems analysis. Extensive simulation training (Acro Mode) and field testing on DJI and ArduPilot platforms.
Solid polymer capacitors are commonly used on laptop motherboards for power regulation. They have much lower ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) compared to traditional electrolytic capacitors, allowing them to stabilize high-speed power systems.
Challenge: Removal is difficult because the pads connect to large internal copper planes (power and ground), which act as heat sinks. This requires higher temperatures and sustained heat from a hot air station.
